13 Best Gujarati Podcasts and Audio Shows

The short answer

The largest Gujarati podcast is The Jay Thadeshwar Show, whose YouTube channel carries 383 thousand subscribers and 90.0 million lifetime views across 896 videos. SunoGujarat Podcast follows at 140 thousand subscribers, then Sagar Kathrotiya at 104 thousand, Jalso Podcasts at 77.7 thousand and Bethak, hosted by Anuj Pandya, at 75.9 thousand. Almost none of these are audio first: Gujarati podcasting is a filmed conversation business that lives on YouTube, with Spotify, Apple Podcasts and Gaana as afterthoughts.

Start with the honest finding, because it changes how you read everything else on this page. Gujarati podcasting is not an audio industry. It is a video industry that calls itself podcasting. The shows below are filmed conversations, two chairs and two microphones, uploaded to YouTube first and clipped to Instagram second. Search Spotify and Apple Podcasts in Gujarati and you get language lessons, Bhagavad Gita readings, a diaspora news service from Australia and a handful of hobby feeds. Search YouTube and you find a working circuit with real money in it.

That gap is the story. A Gujarati host with 383 thousand subscribers and 90 million lifetime views has never needed an RSS feed, because the audience arrived on the platform that pays for a face as well as a voice. So this page counts what can actually be counted. Every subscriber figure, video count, lifetime view total and channel start date below was read off the channel's own about page on 29 July 2026, and every show was matched to an Instagram account confirmed by a live scrape, with the account's biography or its outbound link tying it back to the same channel. Thirteen shows cleared both bars. Several well known names did not, and they are listed by name in the methodology rather than quietly dropped.

How this list was built

Candidates were assembled by running YouTube's own channel search in English and in Gujarati script across podcast, interview, business and audio story terms, then filtered three ways. First, the show had to publish in Gujarati and describe itself as a podcast or an audio show, checked against its own channel description. That test removed Vishesh with Dinesh, a Gujarati interview channel with 554 thousand subscribers whose description presents it as a media career rather than a podcast, and it removed The Gujju Navro at 35.1 thousand, which describes itself as desi Gujarati entertainment. Second, every number had to come from the channel's own about page on 29 July 2026, not from a third party estimate; the search results page and the about page disagree on some channels, and the about page won every time. Third, the show needed an Instagram account confirmed by a live Apify scrape where the biography or the external link corroborated the identity. Real shows were dropped for failing that third test. Audio Book Gujarati, which has 8.14 thousand subscribers and 1,468 uploads of Gujarati novels read aloud, has an Instagram account with 86 followers and an empty biography, which corroborates nothing, so it is named here instead. SBS Gujarati, the genuinely audio first Gujarati service from Australia's Special Broadcasting Service, carries a real Apple Podcasts feed and a real Spotify show and would otherwise be the best pure podcast on this page, but the scrape returned no Instagram account and there is no free licensed photograph, so it is not an entry. A Night Before, which calls itself one of India's top three regional language podcast shows on the strength of a 2021 Hubhopper listing, could not be independently verified and sits at 1.47 thousand subscribers, so that claim is reported here and not given an entry. Manomanthan Podcast by Kalp Patel at 3.63 thousand and The Odd Pod at 64 subscribers were left out on scale. One more honesty note: Jamawat Podcast is verified through the Instagram account of its parent media house rather than a podcast specific account, and that is stated in its entry rather than smoothed over.

The circuit

Seven shows that have crossed sixty thousand subscribers, which in Gujarati podcasting means they are businesses rather than hobbies.

1The Jay Thadeshwar Show

The Jay Thadeshwar Show@thejaythadeshwarshowView profile

Host: Jay Thadeshwar · Subscribers: 383 thousand · Lifetime views: 90.0 million · Videos: 896 · Channel started: 18 August 2021

Jay Thadeshwar's channel is the biggest thing in Gujarati podcasting and it is not close. The about page reads 383 thousand subscribers, 896 videos and 90,011,693 lifetime views since the channel opened on 18 August 2021. His own description names him as founder and chief executive of Poised Media, and the subjects he lists are nation building, Sanatan Dharma and spirituality rather than film gossip, which is a positioning decision as much as a taste.

The show is also the only one on this page with a serious presence off YouTube: The Jay Thadeshwar Show has its own Spotify page, and the operation runs two Instagram accounts, a personal one at 964,173 followers and a show account at 240,510, both carrying the blue check. He has been described in his own marketing as Gujarat's number one podcaster with 750 million views and 150 episodes. Those are his figures, not verified ones, and this page does not repeat them as fact. The channel page numbers are large enough without help.

2SunoGujarat Podcast

SunoGujarat Podcast@sunogujarat_podcastView profile

Subscribers: 140 thousand · Lifetime views: 39.9 million · Videos: 414 · Channel started: 3 May 2022 · Instagram followers: 107,792

SunoGujarat sits second by subscribers and third by views, with 140 thousand subscribers, 414 videos and 39,866,445 lifetime views on a channel opened on 3 May 2022. That is roughly 96,000 views per upload, one of the strongest per video ratios on this page, which tells you the channel is being watched rather than merely subscribed to.

Its Instagram biography is the sharpest pitch in Gujarati audio: Gujarati podcast, but not boring, real talk over small talk, Gujarat is speaking and we just hand over the microphone. The account carries 107,792 followers across 452 posts and links back to the same YouTube channel, which is how it was confirmed. The show is also part of a visible cross promotion circuit; its clips turn up quoted in the captions of Jalso, Sagar Kathrotiya and half a dozen other Gujarati accounts, which is the closest thing this field has to an industry.

3Sagar Kathrotiya

Sagar Kathrotiya@sagarkathrotiyashowView profile

Host: Sagar Kathrotiya · Subscribers: 104 thousand · Lifetime views: 45.9 million · Videos: 996 · Channel started: 13 August 2024

The most striking number on this page is the date. Sagar Kathrotiya opened his channel on 13 August 2024 and by 29 July 2026 had 996 videos, 104 thousand subscribers and 45,881,444 lifetime views. That is more lifetime views than shows three years older, built in under two years, at a publishing rate of roughly forty uploads a month once shorts are counted.

His own description of the format is unusually specific: every week, in pure Gujarati, sitting down with the state's boldest minds, actors, athletes, founders, spiritual masters, doctors, policy makers and everyday heroes. The Instagram account at 117,928 followers carries a verification badge and is linked directly from the channel, which is how it was corroborated. He also runs a separate shorts channel, which is the standard structure now: one channel for the hour long conversation, one for the ninety second cut that actually travels.

4Jalso Podcasts

Jalso Podcasts@jalsomusicandpodcastappView profile

House: Jalso, jalsomusic.com · Subscribers: 77.7 thousand · Lifetime views: 11.1 million · Videos: 995 · Channel started: 11 February 2021

Jalso is the only entry here that is a product rather than a person. It runs a Gujarati music and podcast app at jalsomusic.com and uses its YouTube channel, opened on 11 February 2021, as the shop window: 995 videos, 77.7 thousand subscribers, 11,145,595 lifetime views. Its Instagram biography states the shift plainly, that it was rooted in music and stories and is now known for meaningful conversations, and the account holds 124,197 followers across 5,326 posts.

The subject list is the reason it belongs on any serious version of this page. Recent Jalso episodes cover Kalidas and the Meghdoot, the Valmiki Ramayana with Vijay Pandya, why Gujarati grammar is collapsing in everyday speech, Ayurveda and body types, and the making of Gujarati films with their directors. One of those grammar episodes has taken 61.5 thousand views on its own. In a field where the default booking is a founder with a growth story, Jalso is the one commissioning a Sanskrit poem.

5Bethak

Bethak@bethakpodcastofficialView profile

Host: Anuj Pandya · Subscribers: 75.9 thousand · Lifetime views: 16.7 million · Videos: 605 · Channel started: 12 August 2023

Bethak is the word for the sitting room where Gujarati families receive guests, and Anuj Pandya has built a show that behaves like one. The channel opened on 12 August 2023 and now shows 605 videos, 75.9 thousand subscribers and 16,673,423 lifetime views. Its own description says it brings inspiring stories, real talks and deep journeys from across Gujarat, especially rural Gujarat, which is the part almost every other show on this page skips.

That rural focus is the commercial insight here. The Gujarati creator economy is heavily concentrated in Ahmedabad, Surat and Vadodara, and the audience is not. Pandya's Instagram account, which carries 126,322 followers and a verification badge, describes the show simply as an authentic Gujarati podcast and prints an email address for pitches, which is what a working booking pipeline looks like rather than a hobby.

6Yours Podcast

Yours Podcast@yourspodcastofficialView profile

Subscribers: 74.5 thousand · Lifetime views: 15.2 million · Videos: 584 · Channel started: 10 November 2023 · Instagram followers: 136,510

Yours Podcast runs on one line: aapni vaato aapni bhashama, our conversations in our own language. That sentence is the entire positioning, printed on both the YouTube channel and the Instagram bio, and it is doing more work than most brand strategies. The channel opened on 10 November 2023 and reads 584 videos, 74.5 thousand subscribers and 15,227,799 lifetime views.

It is also the clearest example of the platform split running through this whole page. The Instagram account holds 136,510 followers, nearly twice the YouTube subscriber count, off just 196 posts. In Gujarati audio the long conversation gets uploaded to YouTube and the ninety second fragment of it gets a far larger audience on Instagram, which means the format everybody calls a podcast is being consumed mostly as a reel.

Instagram: @yourspodcastofficial (verified 2026-07-29).

7Jamawat Podcast

Jamawat Podcast@jamawat_View profile

House: Jamawat Media · Subscribers: 64.8 thousand · Lifetime views: 8.4 million · Videos: 170 · Channel started: 20 May 2023

Jamawat is a Gujarati digital news venture, and the podcast channel exists because its own editors got tired of long interviews drowning in a feed of news clips. Its description says exactly that: this channel is dedicated to the interviews where we talked at length, so they do not get lost on your timeline. It opened on 20 May 2023 and holds 170 videos, 64.8 thousand subscribers and 8,426,643 lifetime views, which is around 49,000 views per upload from the smallest video library in the top seven.

The verification here needs stating plainly. The channel links to the Instagram account of the parent media house, jamawat_, which carries 777,718 followers, a verification badge and 20,798 posts, rather than to a podcast specific account. That account confirms the house and the language, not the show alone. It is the weakest corroboration on this page and it is recorded as such instead of being dressed up.

Instagram: @jamawat_ (verified 2026-07-29).

The specialists

Four smaller shows that own a subject or a city instead of chasing the whole state.

8Akassh Ukani

Akassh Ukani@akasshukaniView profile

Host: Akassh Ukani · Subscribers: 21.8 thousand · Lifetime views: 3.8 million · Videos: 632 · Channel started: 1 May 2023

Ukani is the only host on this page whose show is built entirely around business, and the numbers show a very particular shape. The channel opened on 1 May 2023 and reads 632 videos, 21.8 thousand subscribers and 3,816,918 lifetime views, while his Instagram account carries 100,187 followers with a verification badge across 918 posts. That is an audience roughly five times larger on Instagram than on YouTube, the widest gap on this page, which tells you the format working for him is the clip rather than the full episode.

His channel description says he is founder and chief executive of Skill Jogi Media and has helped more than eighty brands, direct to consumer startups and manufacturers build social visibility, which explains the booking pool: the guests are his market. One episode with the founders behind a Gujarati snack business has taken 2.7 lakh views. The Instagram biography, uplifting youth with real stories, and the collab address at skilljogi.com are what confirmed the account against the channel's own outbound link.

9Mihir's Mic

Mihir's Mic@mihirs_mic_podcastView profile

Base: Vadodara · Subscribers: 14.2 thousand · Videos: 92 · Channel started: 27 June 2021 · Schedule: New episodes Tuesday and Saturday

Mihir's Mic calls itself Vadodara's first podcast, and the framing is local to the point of stubbornness: aapdu Baroda, aapni vaato, our Baroda, our conversations. The channel opened on 27 June 2021 and carries 92 videos and 14.2 thousand subscribers, with the guest list drawn from Gujarati films, politics, medicine and the local influencer scene rather than from the national circuit.

Its Instagram biography contains the sharpest line anyone in this field has written about the format: a reel gets views, a podcast builds value. The account holds 9,203 followers across 184 posts and links straight back to the YouTube channel, which is how it was confirmed. The lifetime view total on the channel page, 79,144, is the smallest here by a distance, and that is the honest picture of what a genuinely city sized Gujarati show looks like before it either scales or does not.

Instagram: @mihirs_mic_podcast (verified 2026-07-29).

10Shabad Podcast by Samvedna

Shabad Podcast by Samvedna@shabad_podcastView profile

Base: Bhuj, Kutch · Subscribers: 10.2 thousand · Lifetime views: 3.6 million · Videos: 235 · Channel started: 11 March 2019

Samvedna started in Bhuj as a collective of art lovers running open mics, musical evenings and live sessions with local folk artists and social workers, and Shabad is the podcast that grew out of it. The tagline is exploring the world through the words. The channel opened on 11 March 2019, the oldest start date among the pure podcasts here, and carries 235 videos, 10.2 thousand subscribers and 3,583,728 lifetime views. Episodes run from poets to oncologists, which is a range no metro show on this page attempts.

It is also one of the very few Gujarati shows with a genuine audio first footprint: Samvedna has an Apple Podcasts feed, and the operation runs a parallel Hindi version of Shabad. The Instagram account, at 2,939 followers across 58 posts, describes itself as the soul of Samvedna and links to the YouTube channel, which is how it was corroborated. Kutch producing the most literary podcast in the language, and Ahmedabad producing the founder interviews, is a fair summary of where each place puts its attention.

Instagram: @shabad_podcast (verified 2026-07-29).

11Gujarati Melo

Gujarati Melo@gujaratimelo_podcastView profile

Host: Tejal Patel · Subscribers: 8.43 thousand · Lifetime views: 789 thousand · Videos: 553 · Channel started: 27 February 2024

Gujarati Melo is the clearest inversion on this page. The YouTube channel, opened on 27 February 2024, holds 553 videos, 8.43 thousand subscribers and 788,559 lifetime views. The Instagram account, gujaratimelo_podcast, holds 109,044 followers and a verification badge. The show is thirteen times larger on Instagram than on YouTube, which makes it the most Instagram native podcast in Gujarati by a wide margin.

Tejal Patel hosts, and the channel describes itself as a gateway to discussions, expert insights and inspiring stories, from personal development to current trends. It has also been a booking partner for other Gujarati shows, with the comedian RJ Kunal's The Odd Pod material surfacing through the Gujarati Melo channel. For anyone studying how a Gujarati show actually finds an audience in 2026, this is the case study: publish long on YouTube, live on Instagram, and let the reel do the recruiting.

Radio, the audio business that came first

Two entries to make the lineage explicit, because Gujarati audio did not begin in 2021.

12Mirchi Gujarati

Mirchi Gujarati@mirchigujaratiView profile

Network: Radio Mirchi, Entertainment Network India Ltd · Subscribers: 730 thousand · Lifetime views: 458.8 million · Videos: 2,430 · Channel started: 30 April 2019

Radio Mirchi was India's first privately owned radio station, is owned by Entertainment Network India Ltd under The Times Group, and runs 98.3 in Ahmedabad. Its Gujarati channel is the largest Gujarati audio brand in existence by any measure on this page: 2,430 videos, 730 thousand subscribers and 458,832,059 lifetime views since it opened on 30 April 2019. That is five times the lifetime views of every pure Gujarati podcast on this page put together.

It is included here as a benchmark rather than as a podcast, and the distinction matters. Mirchi Gujarati's output is prank segments, murga bits and RJ led entertainment carried over from broadcast radio, with podcast style interviews sitting alongside them; its own description leads with RJ Mit's pranks and RJ Kunal's murga. The Instagram account at 84,881 followers confirmed it. The lesson for every podcaster above is uncomfortable and worth stating: the format with the largest Gujarati audio audience in the country is still a radio station doing what radio stations always did.

Instagram: @mirchigujarati (verified 2026-07-29).

13Dhvanit Thaker

Dhvanit Thaker at the Gujarat Literature Festival in Vadodara in 2019, the Radio Mirchi Ahmedabad presenter behind the Gaana show 2 Minutes with RJ Dhvanit

Radio career: 2003 to 2021 · Station: Radio Mirchi 98.3, Ahmedabad · Break: Won Radio Mirchi's first talent hunt in 2003 against 1,500 entrants · Audio show: 2 Minutes with RJ Dhvanit, published on Gaana by Mirchi Gujarati

Before there was a Gujarati podcast circuit there was one Gujarati voice everybody in Ahmedabad woke up to. Dhvanit Thaker took a chemistry degree at M. G. Science College, joined the Life Insurance Corporation after his father died and worked there three years, then entered Radio Mirchi's first ever talent hunt in 2003 and won it against 1,500 entrants with no formal training. He went on to host both the morning and the evening shows on Radio Mirchi Ahmedabad and stayed on radio until 2021.

What he did with that voice afterwards is the template every host above is now following. He released the music album Majja ni Life in 2009, sang for Gujarati films including Kevi Rite Jaish, Passport and Montu ni Bittu, wrote the columns Dhvanit Sab Janta Hai in Ahmedabad Mirror and Just Dhvanit in NavGujarat Samay, published a Gujarati book of quotes called Morning Mantra in 2017, and acted in Vitamin She in 2017 and the science fiction film Short Circuit in 2019. His short form Gujarati show 2 Minutes with RJ Dhvanit sits on Gaana, credited to Mirchi Gujarati, in episodes of roughly four minutes. Radio built the audience. Everything else was distribution.

Figures are lifetime view totals printed on each channel's own YouTube about page, captured 29 July 2026, and they are not audited by any third party. Mirchi Gujarati is left off this chart at 458.8 million because it is a radio network channel rather than a podcast, and putting it on the same axis would flatten everything else to nothing.

Questions people actually ask

What is the biggest Gujarati podcast?

The Jay Thadeshwar Show, by both measures. Its YouTube channel carries 383 thousand subscribers and 90,011,693 lifetime views across 896 videos since opening on 18 August 2021, and its show account on Instagram holds 240,510 followers. SunoGujarat Podcast is second on subscribers at 140 thousand, while Sagar Kathrotiya is second on lifetime views at 45.9 million despite opening in August 2024.

Are there Gujarati podcasts on Spotify and Apple Podcasts?

A few, and the field is genuinely thin. The Jay Thadeshwar Show has a Spotify page, SBS Gujarati from Australia's Special Broadcasting Service runs on both Apple Podcasts and Spotify, Samvedna has an Apple Podcasts feed, and Dhvanit Thaker's short show 2 Minutes with RJ Dhvanit sits on Gaana. Everything else with real scale publishes to YouTube first and treats the audio platforms as a secondary drop.

Why are almost all Gujarati podcasts on YouTube instead of audio apps?

Because the money and the discovery are both there. A Gujarati show is filmed as a two chair conversation, published long on YouTube and cut into reels for Instagram, where several of these shows are larger than they are on YouTube. Gujarati Melo has 8.43 thousand YouTube subscribers and 109,044 Instagram followers, and Akassh Ukani has 21.8 thousand against 100,187. An audio only feed earns neither the reel nor the advertising.

Which Gujarati radio names moved into podcasting?

Dhvanit Thaker is the clearest case: he won Radio Mirchi's first talent hunt in 2003 against 1,500 entrants, hosted the morning and evening shows on Radio Mirchi Ahmedabad until 2021, and now has the Gujarati show 2 Minutes with RJ Dhvanit on Gaana. Manan Desai worked as a radio jockey at My FM and Radio Mirchi before co-founding The Comedy Factory in 2011. Radio Mirchi itself runs the Mirchi Gujarati channel at 730 thousand subscribers.

Is there a Gujarati podcast about business?

Yes. Akassh Ukani hosts the main one, with 632 videos and 3,816,918 lifetime views since May 2023, built around founders and small manufacturers; he runs Skill Jogi Media alongside it. Bethak, hosted by Anuj Pandya, covers business journeys from rural Gujarat rather than the metros, and Jamawat Podcast comes out of a Gujarati news house and interviews at length.
